Today I went outside

… and I laid on the pavement and took pictures of a bouquet of flowers I got for Valentine’s Day. As you do.

Friday flower: Autumn dahlia

First dahlia blooms of the whole year.

Day 77/365: First Tulip of 2011 (Friday Flower No. 1)

At long last, it’s time to get back to the Friday flower.

Try to contain your excitement!

These mums came from mom’s garden, where they lived happily as perennials. Hopefully they will find my dirt to be as hospitable.

It’s hard to believe I’ve kept this going for 30 weeks. I’ll be sad when the last bloom of the year falls.

Friday flower No. 29

Oh, you sassy hot lips turtlehead. Your name makes me laugh and your face … well … makes me laugh too.

Friday flower No. 28

There was, apparently, lantana here under the ground before I moved in. It has popped up in yellow and pink alongside the things I added. A nice surprise for once.

My marigold has a visitor.

Friday flower No. 26

Red spider surprise lilies, which really did pop up and surprise me. They are everywhere!
