OK, I have to brag about this now. In 2004 (I think it was 2004 at least) I saw a show in Atlanta. Regina Spektor and Kings of Leon opened for The Strokes. I remember wishing for more Regina & KOL when The Strokes started to play. This is also back when I used to describe KOL’s sound as “rocking-fucking-roll.” And I fell in love with Regina Spektor that night. It was the first time I had ever heard her. Too bad you weren’t there, LT. I think you would have enjoyed the show. Thoroughly.
Yes! That was around the time I fell in love with her without even knowing it, because she had that song with the Strokes and I hadn’t yet learned her name. I would have LOVED that show, LT. LOVED.
