Day 57: Perspective

My photos lately have been fairly uninspired. I’m not writing much. I feel a modest amount of guilt about this. And yet. The world is big and full of problems and my lack of creative inspiration ain’t one of them. My brain lately has been preoccupied with other more basic things — things so basic and earnest that everything else seems to shrink away like wax under a hot-air gun. There is no use trying…

Day 56: Don’t Give Up

Lots of stuff happening, swirling around the glass, catching the light. I like it when my brain is occupied, and I like it even more when lots of different parts of my brain are occupied. Less risk of grey-matter atrophy then. Tonight I spent a hefty portion of time reacquainting myself with Flash, after a multi-week hiatus. Lucky me, I got to dink with Flash 4 rather than the Flash 2 I was “trained” in.…

Day 55: Mardi Gras

I’m fairly indifferent about Mardi Gras in general, and lean toward curmudgeonly since it’s pretty much a free-for-all exploit-o-gropefest, but far be it from me to rain on anyone else’s weirdo parade. I do not want to know how my teacher got them.…

Day 54: RP Tracks

I took one photo today and this is it. I wouldn’t say I’m burned out, but I would say I’m INCREDIBLY LAZY. Anyway, I ate at RP Tracks for the first time ever, and had barbecue tofu nachos for the first time ever (pretty tasty, and I am a bonafide meat lover), and sat around and bitched and moaned about the crumbling sisterhood … not for the first time ever … with some of my…

Day 53: Blur

Thanks to my questionable decisions last night, I overslept and missed Soup Sunday, which I had been looking forward to for a few days. Dang it. The whole day wasn’t a bust, though. I spent the evening in great company, watching the Oscars and laughing my ass off. Am I just some kind of commie, homo-loving son of a gun or was the show particularly funny this year? [Project 365]

Day 47: Curtain Call

“I like the sun and all, but I want to be able to control it.” That sentence came out of my mouth yesterday, so I bought and hung curtains for the first time in my life — no, really — and am looking so completely forward to deciding whether or not I want to wake up with sunshine punching me in the face tomorrow morning. So far, the cats and I have an understanding that…
