DIY iPhone speakers

FIY iphone speaker

Listening to music while in the bathroom just got a lot easier thanks to this Lifehacker tip. I don’t really know how they got an iPhone to fit like that into a pint glass, though. I have some snazzy pint glasses (thanks to Fancycwabs) and my phone barely shimmies down in them halfway. I do, however, have two of these awesome midcentury red diamond glasses, which I inherited from my great grandmother after she passed away. One was slightly cracked so I was paranoid to drink out of it. It’s got a new home now. The phone fits perfectly in there, and the red goes with my black, white, and red bathroom motif.

So, neat.

  1. Ha, that’s awesome. It reminds me of something I did when I was a kid. All I had for listening to music was a cheap one-speaker mono radio-cassette player, and was bummed out because all my friends had nice stereo boom boxes. So I took a cardboard box, lined it with aluminum foil, and suspended the radio inside it with strings. The sound out of the back port of the speaker would reverberate off the foil, making the sound bigger and creating something of a simulated stereo effect.

  2. That’s so cool. My kids and I are having fun experimenting now. Jon, however, makes me wish I had a cheap one-speaker mono radio-cassette player.
