Dinesh D’Souza, we need to talk

Dude, your abhorrent opinions — particularly the ones highlighted here, regarding the ways the left’s actions incited Sept. 11 — are laughable on their own, but if you can’t even BS your way through a Salon interview without saying something so stupid that it makes you look like the ass you must be, then we’re all gonna laugh at you.

To wit:

America is the font of atheism in the world, the head of the snake, the head of the unbelievers and so on. So it’s impossible to deny that this idea that America is an atheist and a pagan society that is inflicting its values on the world is an important element of their critique.

Seriously, Dinesh? Follow the light and come back to reality*. And try again**.

*Link ripped from a Salon letter-writer, who latched onto the same bit of nonsense that I did, but who came equipped with the numbers to back it up. Kudos, ffish.

**There are so many other outlandishly ridiculous things D’Souza says in the interview that I’ve neither the time nor the patience to debunk. Seriously, suggesting that we cinch the “moral” belt on the country so the Islamists won’t blow us up? For shame.

  1. I saw this guy on the Colbert Report, and I couldn’t believe the diarrhea that was spouting from his lips.

  2. It’s fitting that D’Souza dated Ann Coulter for a brief period. They both represent at the core what’s lacking with political discourse in our country, nothing but 30 second soundbites used peddle their latest product. I don’t believe that D’Souza or Coulter really believe what they are saying. They’re products of Jerry Springer, saying anything that will keep them in the press for a little while longer.

  3. Laura Ingraham too. This guy’s meal ticket is that he banged Coultergeist and Laura Ingraham. He’s turned that into a career— Which would be something akin to giving Danny Bonaduce’s transvestite hooker a column.
