It took me a few hours, but I’ve finally completed my papercraft Newsbot. I’m calling him Bojanklesbot because he’s held together rather jankily with packing tape (like everything else in my apartment) and he looks like the kind of robot who might be voted off the island kinda early, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, it’s a really cool project spearheaded by my pal Shane, illustrator extraordinaire for The CA. The advent calendar from which Newsbot himself was plucked can be downloaded from on the CA’s home page (scroll down until you get to the row of teasers). You can click here to find the downloadable PDFs for the papercraft, as well as a video of Shane explaining how to put the bot together.
neato.
I’ve actually been looking for some papercrafts. Are you aware of any more designs?
That’s the sort of thing I’d spend an entire morning doing, thinking it’ll just take a second.
G, yes it is!
T, I still haven’t talked to Shane but I will!
MS, that’s pretty much exactly how it went down. :)
I invented paper craft. You can’t find anything like this anywhere else…at all. Really. Don’t look at places like:
