It&#8217;s definitely not abandoned; it&#8217;s an active city school. It looks run-down, all right, but up close it&#8217;s got some of the most beautiful art-deco details I&#8217;ve ever seen on a school building. They just don&#8217;t make buildings like this anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone know what &#8220;night nuit nox&#8221; means?<\/p>\n<p><b>Update:<\/b> <a href=\"http:\/\/palmtreescove.blogspot.com\" target=\"_blank\">Palm Tree<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/ellabites.blogspot.com\" target=\"_blank\">La<\/a> tell me that it means &#8220;night night night.&#8221; (Thanks, y&#8217;all!) Which is odd.
