The heat has subsided and in its place has been the most pleasant mid-September weather I can remember. My windows are open and the AC is off. I&#8217;ve been wearing a jacket, just because I&#8217;ve missed the feel of a hoodie around my neck. I&#8217;ve spent my nights sitting out on the balcony, sipping wine and speaking softly to myself about life and its randomness.
