{"id":1798,"date":"2007-12-20T18:08:00","date_gmt":"2007-12-20T18:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/theogeo.com\/blog\/?p=1798"},"modified":"2010-05-08T20:39:50","modified_gmt":"2010-05-09T02:39:50","slug":"a-face-for-radio-and-a-voice-for-blogging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/theogeo.com\/blog\/memphis\/a-face-for-radio-and-a-voice-for-blogging\/","title":{"rendered":"A face for radio and a voice for blogging"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For several weeks, Laura Conaway of NPR&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/bryantpark\" target=\"_blank\">Bryant Park Project<\/a> has been working with me to get an audio slideshow going for the BPP blog as part of their &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/templates\/story\/story.php?storyId=17441323\" target=\"_blank\">Where I Live Now<\/a>&#8221; series. <\/p>\n<p>And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/bryantpark\/2007\/12\/listener_sends_greetings_from.html\" target=\"_Blank\">here it is<\/a>!! (I&#8217;m geeking out about it. Sorry!) <\/p>\n<p>Naturally, I was worried that I sounded totally stupid (not to mention nasally and bored; why do I always sound <i>so freaking bored<\/i>?!), but I think Laura managed to edit out the more vapid points of my interview, when I rambled about slopping hogs in Saltillo and avoiding the strip malls of East Memphis. Yeesh, for an introvert, I really do like the sound of my own voice. <\/p>\n<p>Thanks again, Laura!<\/p>\n<p>And to everyone who wanders over here from BPP, welcome.
