Good times, good times. <\/p>\n<p>Zach said <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brainreleasevalve.com\/?p=3173\">some really nice things<\/a> at the ceremony about friends being your chosen family, and it&#8217;s just so true and so right that there&#8217;s not much to add to it. He was clearly feeling the love, as evidenced by his fist-clenching euphoria above.<\/p>\n<p>I feel so lucky to not only have the friends that I have, but extremely lucky that they are the kind of people who don&#8217;t have lame weddings. I&#8217;m three for three so far in the Friends&#8217; Weddings Not Sucking Department. To whichever couple is next to take the leap off the plank, the bar is high. Please cinch up your britches and jump accordingly.  <\/p>\n<p>Granted, you may not be able to top having your wedding at a place where your guests can go upstairs during the reception and hear tales of pimps and prostitutes and craziness past from the owner\/manager herself, but don&#8217;t let that discourage you.  <\/p>\n<p>Bonus: I got to meet Laura Conaway, the awesome lady behind the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/templates\/story\/story.php?storyId=17441323\">audio slideshow<\/a> I did for NPR&#8217;s Bryant Project back in 2007 about my Project 365. (She&#8217;s now with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/money\/\">Planet Money<\/a>.) Extra bonus: She brought <a href=\"http:\/\/www.streetsblog.org\/\">Sarah Goodyear<\/a> along with her, and Sarah and JR got to geek out about urban planning. <\/p>\n<p>Cheers, kids.
