Music is happiness
My new favorite band, The Octopus Project: And some archive footage set to “The Adjustor”: Love me some instrumental spacecore dance pop.

He’s busy blogging here this week as the MIM 2007 Web Guru, but he had time to come out for dinner and a movie with me. We saw the Aqua Teen flick. There’s not much I can say about it except damn. And I thought my inner monologue was random and absurd. Perhaps the only thing weirder than the movie itself was the woman in the theater who laughed non-stop through the entire movie. If…
• There is no Apt. 13 in my building. I just noticed today. • I love the Pizza Cafe. Can I reiterate that enough?• I’ve been biting my nails a bit more than usual. Ouch. And WTF?• My foot is sore. But I need to suck it up and get back to the gym after a long hiatus that has basically left my ass dragging. • Sometimes I want to mate with my camera and…
[for April 29] Consumed: • Disturbia, which was a much better movie when it was called The Burbs, but which had small moments of golden hilarity, like the ninja joke. I’ve not had many encounters with this Shia LaBeouf kid, but he is imminently likeable as an actor. Which is kind of infuriating, as I have grown to expect to hate all actors. Except Wiley Wiggins, who I am in love with. Eternally. • Blades…
I just logged in to MySpace and got spambombed. And the hits just keep coming. In the time I’ve written this many words, two more “friend” requests have come sailing in. There is no practical reason for me to be on MySpace; I don’t use it to network or meet people. There are several people I know who seem to prefer using MySpace mail over e-mail, so I keep in touch with them that way.…
[for April 28] Glow-in-the-dark Shirt by Michael at Yewnee. Sold out, suckas! As soon as I saw it, I knew it was perfect for Phil, since he’s kind of obsessed with owls these days. Okay, maybe not obsessed, but certainly very interested in. Owls are one of his power animals, see, along with wolves. (He’s out of his mind!) Project 365
Another gorgeous day in the Dirty South. The sunburn has turned brown in all but a few places. My ears have stopped peeling. Life makes no fucking sense, but it’s good. Project 365
I’m not sure what these flowers are called but they smell amazing. At first I thought Gestures was burning some candles whose scents seeped out of the doors. Turns out it was all nature, baby. It was a beautiful day to spend downtown, traipsing up and down South Main with the fabulously pseudonymous FearlessVK, taking care of some crucial business and stuffing our faces with greasy, overpriced Arcade food. Tomorrow night’s the monthly art trolley…
Is it just me, or was John McCain a huge dick on the Daily Show last night? Part one: Part two: Blah blah blah talking-over-each-other hooey. Has McCain always been so smug? Seems like his recent unpopularity with generous lefties (remember when he was every lefty’s favorite conservative “straight shooter”?) has really brought out his inner asshole. Which is fine; I’m all for people exposing their inner assholes (as filthy as it sounds). It just…
