Day 332: Grown-Up Furniture

I’ve always had hand-me-down bedroom furniture. For the past 14 or so years, I’ve drug the same crumbling suite of furniture around with me from my parents’ house to apartment to apartment to apartment to apartment. Day 330: So Thankful

What a year this has been. Made great personal strides in many ways and suffered weird (mostly in-my-head) setbacks in others. Took on a ton of responsibility at work and in my home life and watched my face age in the process. Stopped counting but not plucking grey hairs. Add rangehoods to the list of things I never once thought about before I bought a house. (Also on that list: gutters, being burgled, masonry caulk, shingle health, leaf disposal, etc.) But now that I’m here and I’ve inherited this mid-century beauty, I have spent some time Googling “vintage NuTone rangehoods” just to learn a little. I’ve learned nothing, really, but I think she’s rather fetching in this photograph. [Project 365]

Day 326: It’s In the Cards

Oh, it’s funny now. But we are in the pre-explosive diaper phase of babydom. And I really have to link to a picture of Courtney’s unbelievable shower cake, made by Rebecca as a tribute to Cake Wrecks, a blog Courtney likes very much.
