Ms. Saint descended upon Memphis Saturday evening to check out the debut Harmony Brothers performance (post on that forthcoming), so I offered her my couch for the night, and we spent the wee hours sipping cheap-ass pinot noir and talking about ghosts and all sorts of unsettling things. (She thinks there’s some non-threatening residue in my kitchen, and not just the kind that has accumulated from my never cleaning the damn room.)
[interlude to complain about how damn slow my internet is moving at the moment, gah!!!]
Somehow the cats managed to let her actually sleep on the couch with minimal interruption (this truly astounds me, as this cat-engineered mess is what I woke up to Saturday morning), so we got gussied up and headed to Soul Fish for some lunch, Oak Court for some super-consumer lotion-hoarding (Bath & Body Works had a sale — $5 per bottle!), and then the Paradiso for some animated rat fun (seriously, go see Ratatouille). Ahhh, fun times, meant to be repeated soon.
Sneaky. Very sneaky.
Thanks again for hosting me. I had a great time!
And seriously-don’t be spooked about your kitchen! It’s just a little something extra. It’s flavorless. No worry :D
Thanks for visiting! I’m more freaked out by the laundry room/basement than anything. I should have taken you down there for a reading. Next time!
