Day 68 — Whirring

whirring — March 9

Yawn. Lazy week.

I just laughed out loud at the bit on the Daily Show about Daylight Saving Time. I’m sitting here listening to Regina Spektor’s first album, wishing I had kept taking piano lessons when I was a kid. And thrown in singing lessons for good measure. I just want to sit around and warble about random shit I see. Which is kind of what I do here, but I think I’d rather do it to music.

  1. That’s a cool picture. Why don’t you stick your hand up there?

I used to have an intense fear of ceiling fans. I recall sitting awake in bed one night worrying that one would fall on my bed and cut my face up while I was sleeping.

    I’m insane.

  2. Yes, you’re insane, but not because of the ceiling fan thing; I still worry about the really wobbly ones. And my fear was reinforced the other day when my mom and dad’s living room ceiling fan just freaking broke out of nowhere — one of the paddles (is that what they’re called?) just fell to the ground.

Luckily the thing wasn’t running, or else Johnny Reb might have lost his good eye.
