Moment of silence, please

My iPod, which is roughly nine months old (originally I thought six, until I did the incredibly complex math), has apparently died.

Everyone, please send good electronic vibes its way.

Update — Thursday, 11:07 a.m. Hallelujah. After a grueling round of iPod CPR, I got the thing working again, and it didn’t even blitz my playlists. Note to iPod (scrollwheel) users: If for some reason yours goes to sleep and won’t wake up, even after you’ve pushed all its buttons and plugged it in to any number of power sources, set it on a flat surface and press the menu and center buttons simultaneously for eight seconds until you see an Apple logo appear. You may have to do it more than once. But it freaking works.

The Red Nano, she lives!

  1. Yay! I will sit and look ruminative yet avenged while Anthony Michael Hall’s “Hallelujah” swells in the background. Then I’ll shed a well-timed tear of joy during the eighth syllable of the final “hallelujah.”

Sarah will be listening to Michael Bolton and pounding shots of Wild Turkey. Because that’s what she always does.

  2. The same happened to me shortly after I got mine. I was in the sky somewhere between Seattle and here and trying to watch an episode of Dinosaurs. I panicked. Longest flight of my life.

  3. I got mine for Christmas and nothing bad has not happened yet. For now, I hope nothing happens to it.

  4. I’m over Wild Turkey. It’s all about the Captain now.

    But the Michael Bolton…pssh, YEAH.

(Assuming I’m the Sarah being referenced.)

  5. Sarah, yep, I was referring to Megan’s suggestion of drinking heavily while listening to Michael Bolton. I just can’t stop thinking of that.

And I just have a measly Samsung mp3 player, but it hasn’t died on me. Yet. If it ever does you can count on a breakdown.
