Lots of stuff happening, swirling around the glass, catching the light. I like it when my brain is occupied, and I like it even more when lots of different parts of my brain are occupied. Less risk of grey-matter atrophy then.
Tonight I spent a hefty portion of time reacquainting myself with Flash, after a multi-week hiatus. Lucky me, I got to dink with Flash 4 rather than the Flash 2 I was “trained” in. At first, as the frustration fermented, I wanted to feel the crush of my fist against my dainty little LCD computer screen, but eventually I figured out what I needed to figure out (thank God for actually helpful Adobe tutorials) and I found myself finally at the exact Square One at which I needed to be. Which means it’s all uphill from here, baby.
So check it out — my first solo Flash animation project:

Clearly I’m not doing something right because it’s moving soooooo slow. Way slower than it should. I think it’s a frame-rate problem. ?! This link is slightly better but there are still issues with the spastic little bird’s wingflapping, which shouldn’t act so crazy there near the end.
I don’t know but I’m happy to know that I am at least on my way to figuring this stuff out.
It took your M bird the better part of half a day to travel a very short distance while the sun set. That is one slow-ass bird. Does slow-ass get a hyphen?
That sounds assy. It wasn’t supposed to be. I think it’s cool. Animate something for me involving the stimulus package.
LP, Ha! But did it ever occur to you that this bird lives on a planet where entire days last mere seconds? Hmmm? And listen, you don’t want me near anything involving a stimulus package illustration. Anywhere. Near. Also, slow-ass does indeed get a hyphen in this case. Grammar high-five!
And by “grammar” I of course mean “punctuation”!
