Auntie Rebecca and I got to spend several hours with Luke yesterday while Ashley and JD went downtown for a bit of an anniversary celebration (happy five years, y’all!). We halfway expected to be wading in poop and spit-up by the end of the day — and were even warned to bring an extra shirt just in case — but I swear, that kid (once he woke up and got over his initial where-are-my-parents-and-who-are-you-weird-looking-brunettes? hissy…

My TV remote has stopped working. New batteries, old batteries, no batteries — nothing seems to work. This means I can’t flip over to the DVD player and may be forced to watch the Real World awards show five hundred more times. Halp.

• I woke up yesterday with a brand new grey hair. Funny thing is, I can probably pinpoint the exact moment it sprouted Thursday night. • Our office calendars use the Futurama credit-sequence font for the names of the months. This pleases me to an exceptional degree. • Speaking of calendars, I still don’t have one in the apartment for 2008. I’ve also decided that I need a datebook so I can write down appointments…
