Annoying: There are lots of tattooed, unwashed dudes walking around with ladders and boxes, installing lights and blinds and green film over the windows. [for Monday, Oct. 15] According to my mom, I planted this tree when I was a kid. It was some kind of 4-H or Arbor Day assignment. But the combination of this spring’s cold snap plus the recent drought have proven too much for it to handle. So it’s dying. I don’t really remember planting this tree, but I feel compelled to plant three or four more trees in its memory. Project 365
[for Saturday, Oct. 13] Finally, it’s time to pull the Halloween decorations out of the closet. My beloved purple lights are dead, but I think it would be worth it to replace them.
