I have something similar. It starts out growing like a regular plant, then turns into a vine on the ground. It will have purple flowers soon, similar to a vinca or impatiens: simple flowers with only 4 petals or so. I’ve always thought it must be a kind of vinca?
Yes, they DO look like some kind of variegated vinca, don’t they? In fact, I didn’t even know that was a thing until just this second when I googled it. And lo and behold, I think that’s what it is!
If it blooms blue-ish purple it’s Vinca and if not it might be Euonymous.
Vinca used to be planted in old cemeteries as a ground cover instead of grass. Nashville City Cemetery has been replanting with it for years. But the fancy variegated kind.
