The lilies my mom transplanted for me finally bloomed! My camera can’t seem to handle bright red! I should figure out why! And fix it!
This here’s a blanket flower. I wish I had more money because if I had more money, I’d be using these things as ground cover.
My yard — hell, my entire neighborhood — smells like honeysuckle right now. The entirety of the western fence in my back yard is draped with the stuff. I snuck two licks of nectar the other day and thought about all those times as a kid I’d been out in a pasture somewhere and felt like I’d found some exotic delicacy when I came upon a clump of sweet honeysuckle blooms.

Yet another beautiful thing in my yard that I had absolutely nothing to do with. I have always been intimidated by roses, so how cool is it to know that if I just continue not killing this one, it will reappear every spring?
