Interesting stuff. Two days before I was born. The bill for my birthing, including a three day stay in the Methodist Hospital, was $50 (I found the bill when my parents passed away). $25 for the Doctor fees, $7.50 a day for the room, and $2.50 for miscellaneous expenses. So, you could have child birth in a modern (for the time) hospital for 50 times the monthly subscription fee to the CA. Some things about the old days were good. Thanks for sharing.
