Day 152: Pollenation Situation
I’ll be honest — it felt a little inappropriate getting all up in that bee’s very intimate business, but it’s just nature, baby. [Project 365]
Day 102: Busy Little Bee
Notice that this little dude doesn’t have a white dot on his forehead, meaning he could have hauled off and stung the everloving bejesus outta me at any time. He got pretty close, too, once he got fed up with my being up in his grill, snapping away. He started freaking out and flying in this ever-embiggening circles, and I backed away and headed for the house in the hopes that he wouldn’t follow me.…
Day 95: Playing Dead
Sometimes if you play your cards right, you can watch a game of kickball, find a four-leaf clover, eat a buffalo burger, piss off bumblebees, eat s’mores, drink rum and cranberry/pomegranate juice, and watch The Warriors with your friends in the same night. I guess that doesn’t have a whole lot to do with this picture, but then again it kind of has everything to do with everything. Pro Tip: Hot-ass Michael Beck (who played…
Day 89: In The Sunshine
I feel sorry for all days that were not today, because today was great. [Project 365]

I had a dream once where I was out in a sun-flecked meadow, and suddenly the wind caught me and lifted me into the air like a kite and wouldn’t let me down. I sailed over the meadow, rising higher and higher, bound to…
Day 87: Dogwood
The little green explosions, they’re happening. The other day I looked up and realized that the giant tree behind my apartment suddenly had little lime-colored buds on it. They hadn’t been there the night before. I got a little giddy, I confess. I am in love with spring in a way that I will never be in love with another human. [Project 365]
Day 65: Madison
I got out of the office tonight for dinner at just the right time. The sun was setting and the sky was heavy with blue. People were out and about, letting the warm air hit their skin. I love this time of year right at the birth of spring, and I don’t know if I’ll ever get tired of saying it. [Project 365]
