So rumor has it that Imperial is closing by the end of the year, but I can’t find this information anywhere on the internets. (I can find plenty about the 2006 rumor.) Can someone substantiate this? I need to know for sure whether or not to be sad for serious.

A friend of mine who does a lot of real-estate investing has been trying to buy Imperial Lanes for a couple of years. He’s dropped a few offhanded comments that make me suspect he’s made some progress in that direction, but I don’t know any details beyond that.

MM, interesting! Please please please tell your friend that if he ends up acquiring Imperial, we will bowl there weekly and do our best to revive its popularity and make him a lot of money, so long as he does not allow it to be razed and turned into a fucking strip mall/vacant lot/Platinum Plus.
it’s not being sold. zach read the same articles we did but he forgot to check the dateline. everything is fine, and now i feel like a complete fucking idiot for stealing those shoes, and encouraging others to do the same. big ups to everyone for ignoring me (always a good idea). now i have to figure out how to sneak a pair of bowling shoes back INTO a bowling alley.
god dammit.
