Day 27: Snow!

Sarah and I were booty dancing catching up into the wee hours when we noticed that the nasty rain had turned to snow. And then we went out and played in it. At 5:30 in the morning. (We’d technically not been asleep so it still qualifies as my Day 27.) Unrelatedly, my lungs felt a little like death today. More snowtography here. [Project 365]

We’ll never work in this town again

Tonight I was reunited with Sarah Saint after a several-month hiatus and she made me download booty rap and then pretend to dance to it. We’ll never work in this town again. from Lindsey Turner on Vimeo. This is after we listened to the albums that defined our youth — Sixteen Stone, Vitalogy, Core, Undertow — and tried to relive the emotions we felt while lying on our beds with black lights illuminated and teenage…

Day 23: Presents!

Got home and there was a package from Amber on my coffee table. Inside it? Double hilarity. These books are deliciously depraved and I am enjoying the hell out of them. Relatedly, I seriously need to mail out the rest of my Christmas presents. [Project 365]

Day 21: Footwork

I am still paying for my poor footwear decision during my time in D.C. I have worn the same Doc Martens since eighth grade and they have always been kind to me, but I had no idea how horribly they could treat me. I walked miles upon miles, trying to see and do as much as possible in that city. There’s so much to do, and so much of it is free, that I feel…

Day 2: EAT RKS EE CO.

For Christmas, my friend Ashley gave me several bottles of flavored syrup for my coffee. I tried the caramel today. It was the shit. So I got hopped upon caffeine and took pictures of the bottles. 2009 sure is looking promising in the excitement department! Actually, Ashley gave me those socks in yesterday’s picture, too. Here’s to Ashley for making my P365 possible so far! [Project 365]

Thankfulness

My mom called me the other night, crying. I thought something was wrong. Turns out she had just seen this Mother’s Day tribute on my Flickr for the first time, and it moved her to tears. She got all choked up while leaving me a voicemail, and again when I called her right back. “Well, I just have to know. Were you drunk?” she joked. I assured her that no, I hadn’t been. Or well,…

‘Like slingshotting a spaceship around the moon’

Bowl-o-rama from Lindsey Turner on Vimeo. So rumor has it that Imperial is closing by the end of the year, but I can’t find this information anywhere on the internets. (I can find plenty about the 2006 rumor.) Can someone substantiate this? I need to know for sure whether or not to be sad for serious. Instant update-o-rama: Kip’s got a photo gallery up!

Matrimonialized

My friends Amanda and Matt got hitched Saturday underneath the mottled autumn leaves towering above the Old Hickory Country Club in Nashville. It was a sweet ceremony with lots of laughter (I do love a good vow bumble) and goddamn if I didn’t get teary-eyed watching those kids nervously but intently pledge their love and affection in front of their friends and family and a few golfers who paused to watch the ceremony. It was…
